On 5 March, some medical staff and patients at Gatley Hospital sent a letter to Jinde Charities and Chinese friends for the urgent needs of medical supplies, asked for the attention and assistance of the Chinese priests, faithful and friends. Later, we received the support of a number of dioceses, parishes and a large number of the Catholic Clergy and Faithful to assist Daegu in Korea. Jinde Charities has again ordered 50,000 N95-I medical masks urgently from China. "Just like Jesus, who sent a fountain of life to Samaritan woman who was eager to rescue, medical supplies from caring people, the Catholic Clergy and Faithful in China have become a huge force in the difficult period of inadequate medical supplies. To share them with vulnerable groups and laity, as well as with medical staff. President Song of the University Hospital of Gaegu Gatley, with all the staff and local Faithful, once again asked me to express their profound gratitude to China!" Fr. Jin Junyu, a Shanghai-Korean Catholic Group’s priest who participated in the China-Korean Cooperation of Anti-Epidemic, said in an interview with Faith Press.

Mr. Lin Caiyuan, the General Affairs Officer of the Shanghai-Korean Catholic Group, has done a lot of liaison and coordination for the donation. He said he was touched deeply and was very pleased and delighted as a Korean Catholic living in China. China and South Korea were both suffering during the outbreak of the covid-19, but their love transcended national boundaries and shared pains with each other, and Mr. Lin was deeply grateful. "Through this opportunity, our group of Korean Catholic in Shanghai will also work harder to find difficult and alienated people, to help them and share love with them.” he said, “In these difficult times, let us work together to overcome the difficulties and build a more beautiful world."
