On March 5th, Bp. He Zeqing of Wanzhou Diocese of Chongqing received 6000 masks (worth RMB 15000) donated by a Chinese catholic couple, the wife named Yan Xiaohong in Philippines. Bp. He contacted the relevant officers of Fenshui Town government immediately, and the goods were transported to the front line of anti-epidemic that afternoon. This benefaction was done under the joint liaison and coordination of Bp. He Zeqing, Jinde Charities and Ms. Yan in Philippines. A chain of love linked the three sides separated by mountains and seas closely, and sent a real love to the compatriots in the epidemic area.

According to Bp. He, on February 17, due to Fenshui Town’s separation area was in an emergency of disinfectant, masks and other goods. He asked to Jinde Charities for help. An immediate response was received, with 20 tons of disinfectant and 200 quilts donated. From February 9 to 11, Jinde Charities with the solidarity of Chinese catholic clergy and faithful to donate 10 air purifiers, 30 ventilators and 3000 isolation clothing to Wanzhou CDC.

On February 18th,Ms. Yan Xiaohong, a Chinese native of Chongqing in Philippines, she heard about the urgent need for the separation area by Jinde Charities, also informed her family, Chinese and foreign friends immediately while communicating with Bp. He and her hometown friends. Then she and her family started ordering from their employees and friends through online shopping and running pharmacies. After more than 10 days of intense busy purchasing and waiting, on February 26th, Ms. Yan finally packed 6000 masks and sent them from Philippines to Wanzhou, Chongqing.

Ms. Yan recalled those days through her blog: "It's too difficult to buy masks recently. Our city's pharmacies were out of stock in January. I thought I could find a few capable friends to help. However, after a few days contacting, we actually bought only a few hundreds. To think of the needs of the mainland`s folks, I feel very sorry , but masks are really something you can' t afford with money now.”

Later, Ms. Yan launched several company executives to work together to find ways to purchase. A friend called Unicorn (Nicknamed) bought a batch of masks at three times the price from a shop called Golden Ruler. Ms. Lin also bought some masks online, but only ordered up to 100 each time, and the price was 5 times as high as usual. Even though in this situation, the number of masks accumulated a lot through a concerted effort to purchase.

Ms. Yan said with emotion: "All the pharmacies in our city are with the signs of masks without goods at the counter. But we could actually buy thousands, and this was God's help, which was His wise arrangement for us to avoid a lot of unnecessary troubles, Thanks to be God indeed!"

Bp. He Zeqing expressed deep appreciation and gratitude to Ms. Yan for her generosity and dedication in purchasing masks with all her offers! Even she is overseas, but hearts with hometown. He said: "Ms. Yan always concerns about the safety and security of the hometown folks. She bought so many masks with many helpers and made her contribution to help anti-epidemic in Wanzhou. What a timely and charity action! She also is a living witness for the Gospel! Thank Ms. Yan and her husband very much!"

After the outbreak of the epidemic, the ecclesiastical superiors and laypeople of Chinese all over the world hope to do some practical work for the epidemic areas of the motherland. Ms. Yan with her relatives and friends do not forget the hometown of the motherland, and share love to the epidemic areas, which is worthy of appreciation!
